Teaching Assistant (1 to 1) Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Great Bookham, Surrey. As a Teaching Assistant (1 to 1), you will provide individualized support to clients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with day-to-day activities, promoting independence and positive behavior.
  • Implement and follow care plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities and incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in achieving their educational goals.
  • Address both the emotional and educational needs of students.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers to ensure individualized learning and emotional support.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with SEN is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with school staff, parents, and carers.
  • Certificates in supporting teaching and learning are beneficial.
  • Availability for full-time work, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30.
  • Must be able to commute to Great Bookham, Surrey.
  • Right to work full time in the UK is essential.
  • Must have a Child and Adult DBS.
