Job Title: Academic Support Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Support Specialist to join our team at Ackerman Pierce. As an Academic Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one tutoring to students in a variety of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, and SEN classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated National Curriculum core subjects to students
- Work with students who have complex and challenging needs, including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
- Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies
- Work face-to-face within the community
Requirements:
- Background teaching in English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5
- QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
- Experience working with SEMH/ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs
- Two years' previous experience working within a UK school
What We Offer:
