About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting carers and individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and practical support to carers and individuals with mental health needs.
  • Work closely with care coordinators to develop and implement support plans.
  • Assess the needs of carers and individuals and provide tailored support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carers, individuals, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve carer and individual support.
Requirements
  • Recognised competency-based level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (NVQ/QCF level 3, Level 3 Apprenticeship), or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Experience of working with carers and individuals with mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays as required.
