About the Role

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled Project Design Engineer to join our team of experts in design consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for a wide range of infrastructure projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and undertake civil and structural design and checking work on various projects, providing professional services as required.
  • Act as Project Manager for moderate-sized projects, responsible for the delivery and control of design solutions, including commercial, quality, and programme responsibilities, as well as managing project teams.
  • Interact with client contacts, prioritising customer satisfaction and developing effective working relationships.
  • Maintain high engineering standards and quality for all works under your control, ensuring continuous improvement of your own knowledge and performance, as well as that of your direct reports.
About You

We are looking for a chartered or near-chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with experience in temporary and/or permanent works design. You will have a sound knowledge of construction practices and standards.

  • Hold a minimum of BEng(Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering, preferably MEng.
  • Be a chartered or near-chartered Civil or Structural Engineer.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of previous experience in the design of a range of civil engineering permanent and/or temporary works schemes.
  • Be able to undertake design with minimal guidance and compile fee proposals for small to moderate projects.
  • Have experience of working to project budgets and programme, as well as dealing with client contacts.
