About the Role

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled Project Design Engineer to join our team of experts in design consultancy. As a key member of our in-house team, you will play a crucial role in devising designs for vital infrastructure projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and undertake civil and structural design and checking work on a wide variety of projects, providing other professional services as required.
  • Act as Project Manager for moderate-sized projects, responsible for the delivery and control of design solutions, including commercial, quality, and programme responsibilities, as well as managing project teams.
  • Interact with client contacts, prioritising customer satisfaction and developing effective working relationships.
  • Maintain high engineering standards and quality for all works under your control, ensuring continuous improvement of your own knowledge and performance, as well as that of your direct reports.
Requirements
  • Chartered or near-chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with experience in temporary and/or permanent works design.
  • Sound knowledge of construction practices and standards.
  • Qualified to a minimum of BEng(Hons) but preferably MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Ability to undertake design with minimal guidance and compile fee proposals for small to moderate projects.
  • Experience of working to project budgets and programme, as well as dealing with client contacts.
