About the Role

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled Project Design Engineer to join our team of experts in design consultancy. As a key member of our in-house team, you will play a crucial role in devising designs for vital infrastructure projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and undertake civil and structural design and checking work on a wide variety of projects, providing other professional services as required.
  • Act as Project Manager for moderate-sized projects, responsible for the delivery and control of design solutions, including commercial, quality, and programme responsibilities, as well as managing project teams.
  • Interact with client contacts, prioritising customer satisfaction and developing effective working relationships.
  • Maintain high engineering standards and quality for all works under your control, ensuring continuous improvement of your own knowledge and performance, as well as that of your direct reports.
About You

We are looking for a chartered or near-chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with experience in temporary and/or permanent works design. You will have a sound knowledge of construction practices and standards, as well as the ability to undertake design with minimal guidance.

Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum BEng(Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering, preferably MEng.
  • Chartered or near-chartered Civil or Structural Engineer status.
  • Knowledge and understanding of previous experience in the design of a range of civil engineering permanent and/or temporary works schemes.
  • Ability to compile fee proposals for small to moderate projects.
  • Experience of working to project budgets and programme.
  • Experience of dealing with client contacts.
