Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our team at Health Care Personnel. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our optician's shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and provide a warm welcome to our shop
  • Assist customers in selecting the correct frame for their lenses and ensure a perfect fit
  • Measure frames and order prescription glasses and contact lenses for customers
  • Make follow-up appointments and adjustments to frames as needed
  • Carry out pre-screening tests, such as retinal imaging and pressure and visual field testing
  • Explain offers and products to customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Process payments and handle customer transactions
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience working in an optician's shop
  • Good understanding of English and Maths
  • Basic IT skills
  • Relevant experience in customer service or retail roles

Work Environment

You will typically work 5 days out of 7, including some late evenings and weekends. You will be required to wear a uniform and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
