About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nourish Program Support Trainer to join our team in Newcastle. As a key contributor to our program delivery team, you will work closely with the Newcastle Nourish Lead Trainer to implement the Nourish Program, focusing on engaging young people who are at risk of disengagement from education, training, and employment.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in training and assessment, with a focus on designing and developing assessment tools. Your experience in commercial cookery and dedication to supporting young people facing barriers to education and employment will enable you to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement assessment tools to support participant learning and development.
  • Provide guidance and support to participants during and post-course completion, addressing their individual needs and goals.
  • Foster community connections, enabling students to build relationships and networks that support their educational and developmental journey.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment: TAE40116 or TAE40110 and the following two units of competency: TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy, and numeracy skills, TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools.
  • Relevant qualification and experience in commercial cookery – Minimum Certificate II in Cookery.
  • Dedication to supporting young people facing barriers to education and employment.

Estimated Salary: AU$70,000 - AU$80,000 per annum.
