Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead our electrical projects from pre-construction through to handover. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects from pre-con to handover, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in project management within the mechanical or M&E contracting sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Management:
    • Develop detailed project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and cost management.
    • Coordinate with clients, main contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Oversee the performance of on-site labour and subcontractors, ensuring work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
    • Ensure effective team collaboration between electrical engineers, site managers, and procurement teams.
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Review electrical designs, technical specifications, and ensure compliance with Mechanical standards and relevant regulations.
    • Manage material procurement and ensure that all equipment and components meet project specifications.
  • Financial Control:
    • Manage project budgets, track financial performance, and deliver accurate cost reports to stakeholders.
    • Ensure efficient procurement of materials and services, minimizing project costs without compromising quality.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance:
    • Enforce all health and safety protocols on-site, ensuring full compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
    • Conduct safety audits and promote a culture of safe work practices among all site personnel.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders to secure repeat business.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical trade qualification or HNC or above in Mechanical Engineering
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent safety certification.
  • Full UK driving license.
