About the Role

Lloyd's is a leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, and we're seeking a Senior Market Governance and Risk Associate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Market Governance, Risk and Resilience Senior Manager and the Head of Market Governance in assessing the maturity of managing agents and their adherence to good practice and Principles Based Oversight.
  • Operate the Governance Indicators Framework, engaging with internal teams, providing reports to the Senior Manager, and preparing reports for the Market Oversight Group.
  • Provide support to the Senior Manager and Head of Function in conducting oversight, including meetings with Board Directors and Senior Executives of managing agents to discuss Risk Management and Governance.
  • Manage the change of control process for managing agents, reviewing applications, and providing summaries of transactions to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Relevant governance and risk management experience.
  • Significant experience managing activities, priorities, and people up to a senior level.
  • Experience advising on risk management, performance, and regulation.
  • Exposure to presenting to and/or communicating with regulators.
  • Regulatory expectations in regard to governance and risk management.
  • The factors that drive strong governance, an effective Board, developing and executing a successful strategy, and pitfalls to avoid.
  • Knowledge of business process and systems change tools and best practice principles.
