Overview

At SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, our Corporate Finance team is dedicated to providing expert advisory services to financial institutions worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Institution Advisor to join our team in London or Paris.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves assisting in the origination and execution of transactions across the Financial Institutions sector (M&A, ECM, Acquisition Finance). You will work closely with clients, investors, and the broader investment community to develop transaction structures and provide strategic solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing M&A, ECM, and Acquisition Finance opportunities within the Financial Institutions sector;
  • Develop and deliver pitch presentations to clients, investors, and other stakeholders, incorporating financial statement analysis, financial modelling, company research, and valuation techniques;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement transaction structures, ensuring alignment with client objectives and market trends;
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest M&A, equity, and debt-related issues, applying this knowledge to drive business growth;
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities and support client relationships;
  • Supervise interns and mentor junior team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing;
Requirements
  • Proven experience in providing advisory services to financial institutions, preferably within the FIG sector;
  • Strong analytical skills, with expertise in financial modelling and company valuation techniques;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset, valuing diversity and inclusivity;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
