Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Relationship Manager to join our team in the UK. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a selected inbound BBD client portfolio and driving business growth through new origination and relationship development.

About the Role:

  • Manage and develop client relationships with senior and working-level contacts to drive business growth and revenue generation.
  • Originate new business opportunities across Transaction Services, Banking, and Financial Markets.
  • Lead client strategy development and implementation for designated inbound portfolios.
  • Deliver financial performance objectives such as revenues and return on risk-weighted assets (RoRWA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk ownership of client portfolios, including risk assessment and acceptance.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including local Global Advisory Managers (GAMs), Institutional Markets Officers (IMO), Advisory teams, Credit, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Engage decision-makers of key clients to improve dialogue quality and promote value-added partnership/trusted advisor status.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Banking or Finance.
  • Extensive experience in banking or relevant environments in relationship management or sales functions covering Financial Institutions.
  • Solid understanding of Standard Chartered's product scope.
  • Risk & AML knowledge as stipulated by Bank policy.
