Job Title: Consultant in Orthodontics

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Orthodontics to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Orthodontics, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of dental professionals, and contributing to the development of our orthodontic services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in orthodontics to our team
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex orthodontic needs
  • Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the development of our orthodontic services, including the design and implementation of new treatment protocols
  • Supervise and mentor junior dental professionals to ensure their development and growth
Requirements:
  • Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
  • On the GDC specialist list in Orthodontics
  • Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCST in Orthodontics
  • Membership in Orthodontics or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an SAC-approved two-year minimum training programme in a Post CCST Training Appointment in Orthodontics or within 6 months of completion of training, or equivalent
  • ISFE (Orthodontics) or within 6 months of ISFE or equivalent before commencing
Desirable:
  • Fellowship in Dental Surgery or membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, or equivalent

Please note that this job description is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. As a Consultant in Orthodontics, you will be expected to contribute to the development of our orthodontic services and to take on additional responsibilities as required.
