About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Art Curator to join our team at the World Bank Group. As a key member of our Art Program, you will be responsible for managing and curating our extensive collection of artworks, as well as organizing exhibitions and educational programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct art historical research and produce high-quality labels and texts for exhibitions and publications.
  • Scout for emerging and established artists from around the world to feature in our exhibitions and collection.
  • Manage the upkeep of our collection database and coordinate with the Real Estate team on art-related projects.
  • Support the delivery of our World Bank Children's Art Prize Contest and develop and update Art Program procedures and policies.
  • Organize exhibitions, handle logistical arrangements, and prepare exhibition texts and publications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to progress Art Program initiatives and develop relationships with artists, collectors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as art history, museum studies, or art education.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international financial institution or multilateral organization.
  • Strong research skills, budget accountability, and cross-cultural management experience.
  • Ability to balance corporate and operational perspectives, lead discussions with stakeholders, and navigate complex policy issues.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English, with additional language skills a plus.
