Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a leading SEMH school in Preston. The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children with SEMH needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of Education Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with SEMH needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support (desirable).
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEMH needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
