We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN and SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Preston. As a Teaching Assistant specialising in SEN and SEMH, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs and helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group support to students with SEN and SEMH needs
- Implement strategies and utilise de-escalation techniques to diffuse behavioral issues
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans
- Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
- Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs
- Strong behaviour management skills and ability to work with students with challenging behaviour
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
- Strong work ethic and full-time availability
