Vulcain Engineering Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Delivery Manager - Mechanical to join our team in the South West of England.
About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled professional to assist in tactical logistics planning for individual works sections, supporting the work completed on strategic logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for detailed planning and implementation, collaborating with the HPC Delivery Team and Senior Construction Delivery Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Support contract partners in delivering works packages to ensure efficient delivery of their sections of works.
- Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns.
- Monitor works on site and input into the construction daily report to ensure information is reported up through the organisation.
- Proactively communicate/co-ordinate with other site teams to maintain good communication links and ensure activity is well and timely reported.
- Attend PLOD/PLOW meetings with the contractor and ensure outputs are recorded and issued.
- Undertake safety and/or assurance inspections that support the project HSPI's.
We are looking for a candidate with experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery plans, and resource allocation. A working knowledge in the delivery of projects is essential. Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience, are required. SMSTS or IOSH qualification is also necessary.
