Job Description

We are partnering with a business experiencing significant growth and looking for a Commercial Manager to support business growth in a highly regulated industry. If you have significant pre-contract commercial expertise, you could be a great fit for this opportunity.

The Role

As a Commercial Manager, you will lead commercial strategies for bids, ensuring compliance with internal governance while negotiating favorable contract terms. You will be responsible for shaping commercial solutions, from pricing to contractual agreements, ensuring winning proposals with balanced risk and reward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Commercial Lead on designated bids, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide expert commercial and contractual advice throughout the bidding process.
  • Negotiate customer contracts and collaborate with procurement to manage key contract terms.
  • Develop commercial responses, KPIs, and pricing strategies for tenders.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven track record in pre-contract commercial management within regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of NEC3/4 contracts
  • Experience working with government customers and knowledge of Public sector contracts
  • Capable of leading bids independently, with strong customer-facing experience in a relevant sector

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
