About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Quality, Safety and Improvement directorate of the NHS Wales Executive as a software developer specialising in Microsoft Power Platform software. As part of our new direction, we want to strengthen our team by recruiting new members with diverse backgrounds and skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications using Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Work with the analytics team to develop analytical and digital infrastructure to support data collection, analysis, and usability needs.
  • Lead in the development of Power Platform tools, working with stakeholders across the health and care system in Wales.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Quality, Safety and Improvement Directorate to scope, develop, and launch tools.

Requirements
  • Significant experience designing and developing software applications.
  • Proven experience of system analysis and design in a work environment.
  • Experience of implementing a Groupware solution (SharePoint).
  • Development experience in Microsoft software (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, etc).
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualification in an agile development methodology.
  • Experience of supervising staff.
  • Experience of using NHS IT systems.
  • Relevant experience working within the NHS.
  • Experience of working in an Agile Development environment (Scrum).
