Reserving Methodology Expert

As a key member of the Life and Health Global Reserving Centre at SCOR, you will be responsible for developing and implementing reserving methodologies across all bases and metrics. You will provide thought leadership on actuarial and finance topics, develop innovative approaches to complex reserving topics, and ensure consistency of approach across local reserving teams.

You will play a key role in determining and implementing SCOR's Life and Health reserving strategy, in line with the company's strategic plan. You will also be responsible for day-to-day management of the global actuarial audit.

As a leader in the L&H reserving team, you will provide support and guidance to other L&H reserving teams on issues of methodology and appropriate techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership on actuarial and finance topics
  • Develop innovative approaches to complex reserving topics
  • Ensure consistency of approach across local reserving teams
  • Day-to-day management of the global actuarial audit
  • Provide support and guidance to other L&H reserving teams

Requirements:

  • Qualified Actuary (FIA, FSA or equivalent)
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS17 or Solvency II standards
  • Significant experience interpreting and implementing these standards
  • Experience interacting with external auditors and/or regulators
  • Thought leader on topics of actuarial methodology
