This is an opportunity for a talented, high-performing, and ambitious Senior Manager to join the methodology team in the Audit Quality Directorate (AQD) in an exciting period, helping to shape the role and the expanding team. You'll report into and work closely with the Audit Advisory Directors.

Responsibilities

Audit Methodology

As part of the Audit Advisory team, you'll provide advice and ensure compliance with ISAs and the firm's audit methodology, including:

  • Managing and supporting key Audit Methodology Projects, guiding, supporting, proposing changes to the audit tool, and training.
  • General Methodology projects, writing and updating technical guidance and policies.
  • Responding to audit methodology queries from audit staff at all levels.
  • Developing and delivering audit methodology training content relevant to key methodology projects.
  • Representing sectors, responding to sector-specific queries, sector training, and support with developing sector-specific content.
  • Responsibility for selected aspects of team management/development.

You'll have responsibilities for forward-looking and pre-emptive consideration of upcoming developments and business needs identified in relation to audit methodology. You'll work on specific projects to result in new or enhanced guidance, training, and other materials for dissemination to the audit stream.

You'll be someone with:

  • Proven audit experience.
  • The ability to communicate with partners and staff at all levels.
  • ACA or similar professional accountancy qualification.
  • Expertise with regards to the UK auditing standards.
