About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Actuarial Strategy Lead to join our team at SCOR. As a key member of our Global Reserving Centre, you will play a critical role in shaping our Life and Health (L&H) reserving strategy and methodology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide thought leadership on L&H actuarial and finance topics, driving innovation and best practices within SCOR.
  • Develop and implement robust actuarial arguments, ensuring consistency and accuracy in our reserving approaches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives, leveraging your expertise in actuarial methodology and reserving techniques.
  • Support the Head of L&H GRC in ensuring consistency of approach across local reserving teams, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide actuarial support on key Finance and L&H projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage the global actuarial audit, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Qualified Actuary (FIA, FSA or equivalent) with significant PQE (12+ years).
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS17 or Solvency II standards, with experience interpreting and implementing these in a Life & Health (re)insurance or consultancy context.
  • Strong understanding of local reserving or capital standards/frameworks, such as USGAAP or RBC/ICS in APAC.
  • Significant experience interacting with external auditors and/or regulators, with a regulated role a plus.
  • Thought leadership on actuarial methodology, with experience participating in industry working groups.
  • Proven track record of leading projects, workstreams, and teams, with collaboration with senior stakeholders.
