About the Role

Bolton Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Actuary to join our team as a Senior Actuary - Reserving Expert. This is a key role that will play a critical part in the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth profitability analyses using advanced reserving methods to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain complex data sets and reports to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claims, and operations, to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Provide expert actuarial guidance and support to insurance partners and their actuarial staff.
  • Develop and implement strategic analysis and predictive modeling to inform business decisions.
  • Manage the development and implementation of product and tool strategies to drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or finance.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in a commercial underwriting or actuarial role.
  • Proven expertise in reserving and profitability analysis, with a strong understanding of commercial and reinsurance markets.
  • Proficient in data manipulation tools such as SQL, Alteryx, MSOffice, and PowerBI.
  • FIA qualified (or equivalent).
