Job Title: Security Officer
Location: Waverley Market Shopping Centre
Pay Rate: £12.70 per hour
Shift Pattern: 5 days over 7, 40 hours per week
Role Overview and Purpose
This is a permanent, full-time contract. A valid SIA front-line license is required, and a CCTV license is desirable or willing to undertake a CCTV license course.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently to achieve shared goals.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to assist with accurate report writing.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Conflict management awareness.
- High level of customer care awareness.
- Telephone skills.
- Familiarity with patrolling and monitoring from a loss prevention perspective.
- SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guard license.
- SIA CCTV license.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly duties in line with SIA license training courses to ensure the centre is safe and compliant in all aspects of health and safety.
- Confident in complying with health and safety and fire prevention procedures.
- Take an active role in emergency situations, including Fire Warden tasks.
- Oversee external contractor management to ensure they are working safely.
- Always follow ABM Group and company policies and procedures.
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
