SEN Specialist Teacher

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher to join our team at Ashley Park School, where we prioritize the wellbeing and education of our pupils with complex communication needs, autism, and associated learning and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching that addresses the diverse needs of our pupils, maximizing their academic achievement and potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective educational strategies, ensuring a whole-school impact on pupil progress.
- Stay updated on statutory curriculum requirements, assessment methods, and recording procedures to inform teaching practices.
- Engage with pupils, families, and colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate Cert Ed/QTS level education and relevant teaching experience.
- Possess a calm, engaging, and resilient teaching style, with a passion for innovative approaches to education.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with SEN, including behavior management and praise/reward techniques.
- Embody the school's vision, aims, and priorities in daily teaching practices.
