Lead Specialist Clinical Pharmacist - Microbiology

NLG Health is seeking an experienced Lead Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join their team in Croydon. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert leadership and specialist professional advice on antimicrobials.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and evaluate services to ensure effective antimicrobial stewardship across the Trust.
  • Liaise with clinicians, nursing, and other health and social care professionals in primary and secondary care settings.
  • Make recommendations and support the development of necessary frameworks for safe antimicrobial management.
  • Supervise Band 6 and 7 pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacists.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for registered healthcare professionals and non-registered staff.
  • Contribute to patient safety and clinical governance agendas through antimicrobial medication optimisations.

Requirements:

You must be a registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have hospital and ward-based clinical experience. You should work within codes of practice and professional guidelines, communicate health issues effectively, and have excellent attendance and communication skills.

A minimum of 6 months' previous work experience in an acute healthcare setting is required, along with the ability to provide 2 professional references.
