Job Title: Technical Engineering Manager for Rolling Stock

At Shorterm Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineering Manager to lead our rolling stock maintenance and overhaul programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing safe, cost-effective countermeasures to product issues, including safety, reliability, and passenger comfort issues.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leading teams on technical maintenance and modification campaigns, ensuring on-time delivery in a safe and cost-effective manner.
* Developing and building the company's technical engineering function.
* Planning, scheduling, and delivering on BOMs, work instructions, and electronic data recording forms for planned maintenance activities.
* Maintaining maintenance records of all activities related to specific projects, ensuring they meet the company and industry standards.
* Spearheading engineering change implementation to improve fleet and system performance and overall costs of maintenance.

About the Role:

As a Technical Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our rolling stock fleet. You will be responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in a technical engineering role, preferably in the rolling stock industry.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead teams and develop technical engineering functions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement safe, cost-effective countermeasures to product issues.
