About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Reed. Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster positive and productive relationships with customers to encourage growth and profitability.
  • Product Costing and Quoting: Generate precise product costings and quotes tailored to meet both business and customer requirements.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with various teams to ensure new projects and existing product lines are delivered on time.
  • Order Management: Set up products, sales orders, and bills of materials on the system.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and address any issues related to orders or customer relationships.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Work with customers to agree on annual forecasts and create joint business plans to achieve targets.
  • Sales and Margin Targets: Achieve sales and margin targets, along with other KPIs, as forecasted.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and manage the lifecycle of stock by account.
  • Business Development: Engage with customers to discuss current and potential business or new product opportunities.
  • Internal Representation: Represent the customer's voice within the company, ensuring their requests are met.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor personal performance and report updates periodically.
  • Coverage: Provide cover for other Account Managers as needed to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in B2B customer sales, ideally within the health & beauty industry.
  • Customer Management: Demonstrated ability to manage key customer accounts and maintain strong internal relationships.
  • Technical Skills: Competent to proficient Excel skills with a strong focus on data accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to work independently.
  • Industry Knowledge: Passion for the cosmetics and health & beauty industry.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Negotiation Skills: Good foundational negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
