We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager for Policy and Ethics to join our team at ScottishPower. As a leading integrated energy company in the UK, we are committed to generating 100% green power and are at the forefront of the low carbon transition.

In this high-profile role, you will have strong working relationships with government officials to understand their thinking and identify win-win opportunities for ScottishPower. With experience of working in a public policy role, ideally in government, you will have a thorough knowledge of how the policy-making process works and an ability to use analytical skills in assessing and developing public policy positions/arguments.

Deploying excellent communication skills, you will be a persuasive communicator on public policy issues, representing ScottishPower at high-level meetings and roundtables with government officials and other stakeholders. You will also ensure our business teams understand the range of public policy issues and their commercial implications, providing succinct explanations at both senior manager and working level.

You will have the ability to synthesise complex and overlapping policy issues, formulate arguments and provide focused responses that support our commercial position across our businesses.
