Social Care Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly valued Adults' Services teams at Swindon Borough Council as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). We are seeking a skilled and experienced practitioner to work closely with our Mental Health NHS Trust partners to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of adults with mental health issues.
You will have a strong background in social work, with a particular focus on mental health and wellbeing. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, assessing and managing risk, providing support and guidance, and advocating for the rights and interests of service users.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Mental Health NHS Trust partners to deliver AMHP services
- Assessing and managing risk, providing support and guidance, and advocating for service users
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with service users, carers, and other stakeholders
- Participating in multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of services
