Care Assistant (Nightshift)

About the Role:

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents at Ridgeway Rise Care Home. You will assist with daily routines, promote independence, and ensure the overall health and happiness of our residents are prioritized.

Responsibilities:

  • Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily activities, encouraging them to make positive choices and maintain their independence.
  • Personalized Care: Support each resident's individual care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their needs.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
  • Social Support: Foster social interactions among residents and staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond to emergencies or call bells.
  • Nutritional Support: Assist residents requiring extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Social Engagement: Engage residents in activities that bring joy and create a sense of community.

About You:

We welcome applications from individuals with a passion for care and a strong commitment to delivering excellent service. Ideally, you will have experience as a Care Assistant, but we also consider those with transferable skills and a genuine interest in caring for the elderly.
