Scenic Workshop Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scenic Workshop Manager to join our team at CREATIVE PERSONNEL Ltd. As a key member of our Staging and Set department, you will be responsible for leading and developing our warehouse and workshop scenic team, managing the day-to-day tasks, and ensuring the highest possible standards and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop the scenic workshop team, including line management and training.
- Manage the construction and preparation process of our equipment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety in the workshop environment.
- Oversee stock management of workshop materials and consumables.
- Perform routine maintenance of workshop equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with the Head of Scenic to ensure effective resource allocation and planning.
- Provide input on construction design and material specification for custom scenic elements.
- Participate in hands-on construction of scenic products.
- At least 5 years' experience in the live events industry, with a specialization in scenic construction.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of workshop tools and machinery, with experience in carpentry and materials handling.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and CAD plans.
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with industry-standard software.

Our working hours are typically 08:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to accommodate project requirements. We strive to maintain a healthy work-life balance for our team members.
Holidays:- 28 days per year, plus your birthday off after 3 years' service.
- A further day's holiday after 5 years' continuous service.
