Senior Civil Design Engineer

Calibre Search is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our client's Water Consultancy business. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional water services to foster a resilient, eco-friendly, and thriving United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Principal Engineer in managing projects and preparing conceptual, schematic, and detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure assets.
  • Interact with clients to grasp their specific needs and preferences and create outline and detailed design drawings, as well as associated construction-ready documentation.
  • Offer input into the development of Feasibility-level designs and Optioneering assessments, generating concise and well-organised design calculations, reports, drawings, and other deliverables.
  • Collaborate with contractors, the supply chain, and various project stakeholders, and mentor and provide support for the professional development of junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree with a UK Chartership body, with an affiliation with a professional institution like IET, Inst MC, or CIWEM, or in the process of working towards membership and nearing application.
  • Good grasp and working knowledge of relevant British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice, and Water Specifications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical design across multiple disciplines within project environments.
