Orthopaedic Operating Department Practitioner

James Paget University Hospital is undergoing significant transformation with the introduction of new orthopaedic elective hub theatres and robotic surgery. As a Band 5 Bank Operating Department Practitioner, you will play a vital role in this transformation, working closely with the theatre team to assess care needs, develop and implement programmes of care, and ensure safe custody and administration of drugs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing care needs and developing programmes of care
- Ensuring safe custody and administration of drugs
- Committing to training and sharing knowledge, mentorship support
- Undertaking enhanced roles such as IV drug administration and ECG recording
Requirements:
- Registered ODP with the HCPC
- Previous NHS experience
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
Estimated Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 per annum
