Job Title: Chief Maintenance Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Maintenance Operations Coordinator to join our team at Firstbus.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our depot by leading a small team of engineers and overseeing daily maintenance activities.

About the Role:

  • To manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the engineering team, prioritizing tasks and optimizing workflow to meet business objectives.
  • To conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
  • To work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination, facilitating efficient problem-solving and resolution.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance Operations: Oversee the maintenance operations within the depot, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Team Management: Lead and motivate a small team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and resources to enable them to perform their duties to the highest standard.
  3. Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and coordinating teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Working Conditions:

This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
