About the Role
As a Senior Pensions Administrator at Tesco, you will play a vital role in supporting the Administration team in delivering technical administration cases and calculations across a defined Benefit Scheme. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all calculations and correspondence are completed within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Complete calculations and manage correspondence for members, ensuring timely completion within SLA.
  2. Manage calculations and correspondence for high earners, including legislative controls for protection.
  3. Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks on colleague communications from a pension technical and legislative perspective.
  4. Update and reconcile worklists to ensure compliance.
  5. Review transfer cases to ensure compliance with regulations.
  6. Respond to email correspondence and manage team email inboxes.
  7. Assist auditors with queries during the annual audit.
  8. Complete and review complex member calculations, ensuring all calculation SLAs are maintained.
  9. Review complaint/Historic pension transfer cases and authorize daily payments.
  10. Support all processes to maintain compliance and minimize escalations and complaints.
  11. Provide support and testing for cyclic projects and key projects.
  12. Support team in PMI exams and take the initiative to improve processes and drive efficiency.

Requirements
  1. Experience within DB Pension Scheme administration.
  2. Experience either in-house or Third Party.
  3. Administration experience of technical benefit calculations.
  4. Up-to-date knowledge of UK Pensions legislation.
  5. Prioritization and time management.
  6. Communication skills - written and verbal.
  7. Strong Team work ethic and willingness to help.
  8. Be highly motivated and keen to learn.
  9. Be highly numerate and analytical.
  10. UK Pension Scheme knowledge.
  11. Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
