We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Fabric Technologist at our Head Office in Milton Keynes. This position is perfect for a motivated individual looking to begin their career in a garment or fabric textiles team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Materials Team in the sourcing, development, and production of fabrics for Rohan, while working closely with the Product team on fabric development from initial concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for sourcing and developing high-performance materials aligned to seasonal briefs.
  • Work closely with the Product and Materials Teams to ensure that all allocated work meets Rohan performance attributes, testing, and sustainability standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate fabric information on the Range Grid, ensuring alignment across BOM, Commercial sheets, testing results, and latest samples.
  • Manage the maintenance and collation of fabric commercial and technical specification sheets.
  • Lead Lab testing processes, documenting results, tracking, and sharing findings with the team.
  • Responsible for updating the materials manual with relevant test standards, applications, compliance, and regulations required for brand standards.
  • Track and document factory inspections, including follow-up actions.
  • Review and evaluate MOQ's, leadtimes, costs, surcharges, and production requirements, communicating these internally and with suppliers.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting, analysis, and project support as needed.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Rohan brand standards, including logo and branding treatments and rules, as well as expected performance, finish, and construction standards.

We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
