Osenka Recruitment is working with a specialist construction client to find an experienced Estimator and Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial department in Luton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for new build and refurbishment projects in various sectors, including commercial, education, industrial, and leisure.
  • Manage pre-qualification, quality, and pre-bid submissions to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis to ensure the accuracy and completeness of estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotes and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with construction projects and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Estimator and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Support junior members of the estimating, surveying, and pre-construction team.
Requirements and Attributes
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in pricing projects, including single and two-stage tenders and negotiated opportunities.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid car driver's license.
