Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd, a reputable and well-established medium-sized contractor in Bedfordshire. Our client has a successful track record in delivering high-quality construction projects across various sectors, including commercial, education, industrial, and leisure.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost estimates for new build and refurbishment projects in commercial, education, industrial, and leisure sectors
- Manage pre-qualification, quality, and pre-bid submissions
- Conduct thorough cost analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of estimates
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to foster relationship culture and obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favourable terms
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with construction projects, proposing effective mitigation strategies
- Identify opportunities to add value throughout the project process
- Work closely with the Managing Estimator and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives
- Support junior members of the estimating, surveying, and pre-construction team
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field preferred but not essential
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices
- Experience of pricing projects both single and two stage tenders and negotiated opportunities
- Proficient in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Car driver
