Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Major Programme Services (MPS) team.

As a Junior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients to deliver complex projects and programmes.

You will be responsible for setting up teams for success, supporting them in problem-solving and planning, and enabling them to come up with their own insights within complex constraints.

You will be fully client-facing, harnessing metrics to help the team improve its throughput and inform clients and stakeholders about delivery progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a role in the formation and running of high-performing cross-functional teams
  • Deliver products and projects using the appropriate methodology, learning and iterating frequently
  • Set the bar/example of what great project management looks like, ensuring quality and attention to detail
  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities, facilitating collaboration and communication among all participants
  • Develop your own project management expertise further through on-the-job learning, training, and formal qualifications

Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge of estimating, scoping, and delivering products, services, and outcomes using various delivery techniques and methods
  • Experience of working in technical/engineering projects using Agile Delivery methods
  • Experience or certification in project management or project controls methodologies (PMQ, Prince2, etc.) is desirable
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems, and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling successful collaboration with stakeholders across all levels
