Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Major Programme Services (MPS) team. As a Junior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients to deliver some of the UK's most complex products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the successful achievement of outcomes for our clients by setting the team up for success, supporting them in problem-solving and planning, and enabling them to come up with their own insights within complex constraints.
- Harness metrics coming from the team to help them improve their throughput and inform clients and stakeholders about how the teams are delivering.
- Work with clients to deliver products and projects using the appropriate methodology, learning and iterating frequently, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge, and bringing in best practice with a view to continuous performance improvement.
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities, facilitating collaboration and communication among all participants.
- Develop your own delivery expertise even further through a range of on-the-job learning, training, and formal qualifications.
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge of estimating, scoping, and delivering products, services, and outcomes using a variety of delivery techniques and methods.
- Experience of working in technical/engineering projects using Agile Delivery methods.
- Experience or certification in project management or project controls methodologies (PMQ, Prince2, etc.) is desirable.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems, and to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling successful collaboration with stakeholders across all levels.
