Sonobuoys In-Service and Project Engineering Lead

Ultra Maritime is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join our team as the Sonobuoy Production and In-Service Engineering Lead. This is a key role within our UK Sonobuoy Business, bridging both in-service production and support and development of product enhancements.
The successful candidate will have a foundation in Systems Engineering, with an understanding of Software Engineering and ideally a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. They will have experience of producing engineering schedules with dependencies, engineering estimation, and management of risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, and opportunities.
This is a hybrid role, giving you the flexibility to balance working from home and being on-site as necessary, with occasional UK travel. The role will involve leading and co-ordinating engineering support to Production, covering supply chain/production issues, leading on production acceptance activities through range testing, and assessing production and range failures.
The ideal candidate will have experience of leading development across the product lifecycle, including design maintenance for in-service Sonobuoys, and technical support to customers for Sonobuoy use and the systems they work with. They will also have experience of managing ad-hoc customer tasking, such as design studies and trade studies.
