Opcare Limited, a leading provider of prosthetic and orthotic services to the NHS, is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our senior clinical team, you will be responsible for providing mentoring support to less experienced staff, guiding and supporting more experienced staff to continue their professional development, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for all patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the clinical team meets targets and is engaged with company objectives.
  • Attend resource meetings with the Regional Clinical and Operational Lead, assist as a point of contact when the RCOL is on leave.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the OCS services.
  • Support, develop, and mentor less experienced staff, help coordinate and contribute to in-service training sessions.
  • Build and maintain a good working relationship with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Be a direct clinical escalation point to the NHS management.
  • Report on regional clinical activities to the senior management team, advise on any relevant issues to the RCOL.
  • Advance the delivery of the orthotics service by embracing evidence-based medicine and the results of clinical audit in line with the requirements of clinical governance.
  • Support and contribute to Opcare services by contributing to national care pathways, protocols, and leadership on orthotics.
  • Work with the Regional Clinical and Operational Lead and production teams to provide excellent orthotic devices as prescribed.
  • Lead on the use of newer technology and innovations to improve service delivery.
  • Share your knowledge and experience with junior colleagues and offer mentorship to graduates.
Requirements:
  • BSc Prosthetics and Orthotics, Certified Orthotist, or HND Orthotics.
  • Must be fully HCPC Registered.
