About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and ensuring the successful completion of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager in the management and delivery of project works, including the coordination of site activities, resources, and personnel.
- Ensure the site is operated in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to Vistry Group PLC's safety policies and procedures.
- Manage and coordinate the work of sub-contractors, including monitoring their attendance and progress, and providing direct instruction and support as necessary.
- Produce and regularly review short-term programs in line with the overall project program, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
- Ensure that detailed plans are available commensurate with the overall project plan, enabling the delivery of materials, resources, and supply chain to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Liaise with the Contract Manager to ensure they are fully aware of project progress and notified of all financial, specification, and time risks.
Requirements
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and Scaffold inspection qualification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.
