Civica is a leading IT consultancy that helps deliver critical services for citizens worldwide. We're seeking a talented Business Development Manager to join our Central Government division and drive growth in the government and defence sectors.

About the Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the government and defence sectors. You will leverage your expertise to promote our IT resource augmentation and project services, building lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government and defence sectors.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key government and defence stakeholders, understanding their needs and aligning our services to meet them.
  • Lead the creation of compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on service offerings and project delivery.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and expand market presence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development within the IT consultancy sector, specifically targeting government and defence clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT resource augmentation and IT project services.
  • Strong understanding of government and defence procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must hold SC clearance or be eligible to gain SC clearance.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
