About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HRC Recruitment. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, promotion, and execution of preventative maintenance. You will ensure that all machines and work procedures are safe and fit for purpose, and that electrical and mechanical lockout/tagout procedures are in place as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, promotion, and execution of preventative maintenance
  • Ensure all machines and work procedures are safe and fit for purpose
  • Electrical and mechanical lockout/tagout procedures and controls are in place as required
  • Review and advise on engineering requirements and drawings
  • Actively promote safe working practices throughout the plant
  • Work with and assist the coordination of contractors
  • Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and pre-determined specifications
  • Fault find, test, adjust, and remove existing fittings, fixtures, and parts
  • Carry out detailed fault diagnosis to determine the fault and then undertake the most cost-effective solution to remedy the defect
  • Effective communication with management and relevant parties, seeking advice and assistance when required

Requirements:

  • Experience in fabrication/welding Mig/MMA
  • Time-served mechanical or equivalent
