We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax professional to join our team at Brewer Morris as a Deputy Head of Tax. This is a permanent opportunity that offers a great work-life balance, with the flexibility to work remotely and come into the office 1-2 days a month.

The ideal candidate will have strong UK Tax experience, with a focus on VAT and Employment taxes. They will be responsible for leading the UK tax compliance filings, including Corporation Tax, VAT, and limited Employment Tax filings. This will involve working closely with the Group cash management team to provide accurate and timely cash tax forecasting and reporting.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing UK tax reporting within our global reporting tool and providing tax advice to the business. This will involve building strong relationships with commercial teams to provide commercially considered and prompt tax advice.

We are looking for a Tax professional with excellent technical skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to form strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HMRC, Group Tax, and external advisors. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to articulate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and keep up to date with changes in the tax arena.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the UK tax compliance filings, including Corporation Tax, VAT, and limited Employment Tax filings
  • Work closely with the Group cash management team to provide accurate and timely cash tax forecasting and reporting
  • Review UK tax reporting within our global reporting tool
  • Provide tax advice to the business, working closely with commercial teams

Requirements:

  • Strong UK Tax experience, with a focus on VAT and Employment taxes
