Human Resources Strategist Walle

Dishoom, a renowned culinary brand, seeks an accomplished Human Resources Strategist to spearhead the evolution of its people operations. This pivotal role is centered at Babu House in Shoreditch.
The ideal candidate will drive forward-thinking HR initiatives, ensuring a seamless team experience that sets Dishoom apart. To achieve this, you'll refine processes, leverage technology for efficiency, and obsess over creating an intuitive environment for our people.
This position involves line-managing two People Coordinators and collaborating with key stakeholders to elevate our approach. Your influence will be instrumental in shaping the next chapter of Dishoom's human resources strategy.
We're looking for visionaries who can bring innovative ideas to life. Your responsibilities will include:
- Team Management: Help your team members grow by supporting their development and fostering a culture of empowerment.
- Process Review: Continuously evaluate and enhance people and payroll processes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and team experience.
- Tech and Automation: Research, recommend, and implement tech solutions that streamline workflows, automate tasks, and enhance team experience.
- Systems/Tech Management: Oversee all people systems, managing supplier relationships, and reviewing new people tech to ensure it integrates seamlessly into our overall stack.
- Policy Changes: Proactively address policy changes, including pre-empting financial implications and proposing necessary adjustments.
- Payroll Excellence: Lead payroll and tronc operations to ensure compliance and accuracy while finding ways to automate and reduce manual tasks.
- Data & Compliance: Ensure processes are fully compliant with UK employment law and manage data securely and effectively.
- Onboarding: Shape our onboarding experience, providing every new team member with a first-class introduction to Dishoom.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A proven track record in HR process/systems management, driving improvements.
- A strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in identifying and implementing best practices.
- Strong technical aptitude and experience with people tech stacks.
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach and ability to influence change across teams.
- Knowledge of central people functions and payroll.
