As a Trainee OV, you will work closely with experienced colleagues to develop your skills and knowledge in animal welfare and food safety.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ante Mortem (AM) Inspection, Animal Welfare and Animal Identification
  • Assist the OV in practical tasks as defined in the MOC
  • Verify animal identification and take necessary actions
  • Post Mortem (PM) Inspection, Specified Risk Material (SRM) & Animal By Products (ABP)
  • Carry out post-mortem inspection for detection of abnormalities of all carcasses and offal presented

You will work across the UK, maintaining accurate records of post-mortem inspections and findings.
