Community Mental Health Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Wigtownshire Community Mental Health Nursing Team on a fixed-term basis for 1 year. The successful candidate will work with individuals presenting with moderate to severe mental health issues, providing assessment, support, advice, and interventions to promote recovery and sustained wellbeing.
The post holder will work closely with patients, carers, and colleagues across the health and social care partnership, third, and independent sectors. Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong therapeutic relationships are essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with mental health disorders and hold a Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to make effective clinical decisions in pressured situations are also required.
This role offers opportunities for personal development and growth in a friendly, experienced, and supportive team. Full supervision, mentoring, and training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, support, advice, and interventions to promote recovery and sustained wellbeing

Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification
- Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to make effective clinical decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Arrangements:
This is a fixed-term position for 1 year, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which they will be paid.
